It seems that every time I hear our store manager mentioned, it's in the context of a complaint. For the sake of niceness, let's call him Bob.

Co-worker: "Bob always schedules me on my school days!"

Co-worker (while trying to dig out a piece of furniture) : "Nothing like a Bob warehouse."

Me: "Why are we always understaffed on the evening shifts lately?"
Assistant manager: "Because Bob is a retard."

Manager: "It's like Bob doesn't know how long things take."

And that last part is totally true. He was the manager who hired me and even then, I heard complaints. Then he quit and we got another manager,  who totally hated the job and screwed up majorly. After a year and a half or so, he got fired and Bob was back. And yeah, he's the kind of boss that doesn't really have an overly good view of how things work on the floor, how long it takes to perform certain tasks. He just sets high goals and expects everyone to just make it work. He removed one of the registers because he felt it was a waste of space, which is going to make Christmas season just wonderful to deal with, I'm sure. He's the reason I am very, very tired of work these days even though I only work a little more than half-time. And the thing is, I very rarely see him, which is apparently typical, and when I do, he talks 300 words per minute and won't stand still for a second. Also, he has a laugh like a hyena.

I don't want to go to work. I really don't.
